Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is the UK’s largest women only fundraising event where all the money raised goes to funding Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work. Whether you walk, jog or run the 5k course you can join thousands of women all round the country raising money to help beat cancer.
Over 230 Race for Life events will be taking place around the country from May to July, and Southend Leisure and Tennis Centre is hosting two of those events on Sunday 23rd May 2010 at 11:00am and 14:30am. The event will be taking place on the playing field at the centre and some of our Fitness Instructors will also be taking part in the event. The event is being sponsored by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, The Essex Enquirer, and Heart FM.
On the day of the event, we will be offering no joining fee to any participants of the race if they join on the day. We are also offering a free 7-day guest pass to anyone who contacts the centre prior to the race and mentions Race for Life.
